Momma Bear –
I wanted to start a whole ecosystem of SwitchBot products , I have the curtain robots 3 and the regular door lock . Very happy with them . but I am not that I’m not impressed with. The motion detector has a 5-7 seconds lag in turning on the lights. ( some of you may say I have a slow Wi-Fi, I have other motion detectors that work just fine. )

I have tried several motion sensors to get my bathroom lights automated. This one finally worked. There is a slight delay, yet I wonder if that’s due to the motion sensor or Alexa. I’d like it if the activation of the light is faster. Nevertheless, I’m happy that I don’t have to keep in mind if I turned the lights on or off (I’m a master of forgetting to turn them off). I installed the sensors a bit delayed, and all of a sudden; the 2nd sensor wasn’t recognized by Alexa; reaching out to their TechSupport helped, and my issue had been resolved (Firmware-Update). Overall a really good company, and I can highly recommend it.

This is great and i’ve been waiting for a switchbot motion detector to come out. This seems to detect motion very well, however i have not been able to get my routine to work with it. it’s supposed to turn on my kitchen when motion is detected, yet this has not happened. so it works well to detect motion, but i think the software needs a little work to integrate it into home automation
